Can I sell my ticket (ownership share) before 5 years?
Yes, ticket holders are free to transfer or sell their LLP share to another interested buyer, subject to compliance with LLP rules and CarSlice’s transfer framework.
What happens after 5 years?
At the end of 5 years (or earlier, if decided by the majority of ticket holders):
- The vehicle will be sold.
- Sale proceeds (after expenses, if any) will be distributed among LLP partners in proportion to their ticket holding ratio.
Who is the legal owner of the vehicle?
The LLP is the registered owner of the car. However, as a ticket holder (partner in the LLP), you are the beneficial co-owner of the car through your LLP stake.
How does the ownership structure work?
Each car is owned under a separate Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), created as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
- Every ticket holder becomes a partner in that LLP.
- The LLP directly owns the vehicle.
- Your shareholding in the LLP corresponds to the number of tickets you purchase.
